Military honored during Ogden Raptors doubleheader

OGDEN, Utah -- Due to the previous night’s rainout, military members and families were treated to a doubleheader Aug. 9 for Military Appreciation Night with the Ogden Raptors at Lindquist Field.

The Raptors, an advanced rookie affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, partners with the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee each year to offer tickets to to members of the military for each of the services.

Before the second game, Col. Jon Eberlan, 75th Air Base Wing commander, threw the game’s ceremonial first pitch and the Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the colors during the singing of the national anthem by retired Air Force Staff Sgt. De Andre Boyd.

Between innings, some of Hill’s personnel were also invited to participate in on-the-field games and activities.

The Raptors swept the doubleheader against the Idaho Falls Chuckars.
