2021 Air Force Photo Contest Winners

The Air Force Services Center recently announced its 2021 Air Force Photo Contest winners. The winners – first, second and third place in five categories – were among more than 950 entries submitted for the annual competition. This year’s theme was “What a Wonderful World.” Participants could enter up to two images for one of the categories. A panel judged each photo on impact, creativity and technical excellence. CAP NRAT reduces Arizona plane crash search area from hundreds of square miles to 100 feet, one survivor

Arizona emergency responders were able to quickly locate a small plane crash site in northern Arizona, thanks to the work of Civil Air Patrol’s volunteer National Radar Analysis Team, Sept. 23, 2021. The NRAT is now up to 13 saves this year which sets their record for number of annual saves over the past 13 years. In 2021, the entire NRAT has volunteered more than 420 hours to support search and rescue missions.
