Col. Tyler Hess is the Deputy Commander, 75th Air Base Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The wing provides installation support for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, two fighter wings, and 50 other associate units, totaling more than 27,000 members consisting of active duty, civilian, and contractor personnel. The 75th Air Base Wing provides base operating support for the 1.1-million-acre Utah Test and Training Range and enables worldwide Air Expeditionary Forces operations.
Hess commissioned in 2005 as a distinguished graduate from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has served in assignments at the Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Major Command, and installation levels. He has deployed twice to the Middle East where he served in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Hess was the Chief, Budget Analysis Division, Resource Management and Special Programs Directorate, Headquarters Space Operations Command, United States Space Force.
