Sandra Fitzgerald

Sandra Fitzgerald is the Deputy Director of the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. As the Deputy Director, she is responsible for cost, schedule, and quality of depot repair, overhaul, and modification of A-10, C-130, F-16, F-22, F-35 and T-38 aircraft, Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system and aerospace commodities that include landing gear systems, hydraulics, pnedraulics, electronics, avionics, instruments, secondary power systems, and armament for Air Force weapon systems. Additionally, she oversees the National-level Airpower Reservoir for aircraft storage, reclamation, regeneration and disposal at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. Her responsibilities extend to operating locations in Japan, California, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Montana.

Fitzgerald began her civil service career in 1988 as a landing gear engineer at Hill AFB. As chief landing gear engineer, she managed all technical activities ensuring the critical functions of operational safety, suitability and effectiveness were maintained. As the deputy director, then director, of the 573rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, she was responsible for depot level overhaul and maintenance for F-16, F-22 and F-35 aircraft. As the deputy director of the 309th Missile Maintenance Group, she led the depot level maintenance and support of America's land based Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) force to include four geographically separated units. During her time as the 309th Electronics Maintenance Group Director, she oversaw the depot level maintenance, repair, manufacturing and modifications of avionics, instruments, airborne generators, aerospace ground equipment supporting nearly all Air Force weapon systems. As Ogden Air Logistics Complex Director of Business Operations, she ensured effective operations of acquisitions, training, manpower, business development, strategic planning, activations, and work-loading. As the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group deputy director, she directed operations delivering depot repair, overhaul, modification and maintenance support to A-10, C-130, F-16, F-22, F-35, and T-38 aircraft. The group also provided “on-request” Depot Field Team support and is responsible for U.S. Air Force world-wide Aircraft Battle Damage Repair.

Prior to her current position, Fitzgerald served as the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group Director where she led operations for 1,600 personnel in delivering depot technical repair, overhaul, and manufacturing for landing gear systems, secondary power systems, aircraft accessories, wings, tanks, pylons and guns.
