  • Construction underway near Hill Aerospace Museum, Roy Gate at Hill AFB

    A number of new construction projects in progress or planned for near the Hill Aerospace Museum and Roy Gate are expected to last through the winter and into early next year.
  • UDOT to close I-15 in Layton for three nights

    Construction on I-15 in Layton will close the interstate's northbound and southbound lanes nightly between Layton Parkway and Hill Field Road Aug. 9-12.
  • New Utah law not applicable to base motorcyclists

    Although it’s now legal for Utah motorcyclists to filter between stopped traffic at an intersection under certain conditions, the new law does not apply to Hill Air Force Base.
  • South Gate traffic to be impacted by construction

    Construction crews will soon be starting a paving project on South Gate Avenue that will affect traffic in and out of the South Gate. The first phase of the project starts April 15 and will run to the end of May.
  • West Gate closure Feb. 17

    Inbound and outbound lanes at Hill’s West Gate will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, to accommodate maintenance on the gate’s vehicle barrier system.
  • Construction set to begin at South, Roy gates

    Concrete islands and barriers will be installed at the South and Roy gates. Lane closure restrictions will be in place Oct. 8 through the end of November, beginning with the South Gate.
  • New traffic light on Wardleigh will be activated; second light coming soon

    The traffic light being installed at the intersection of Wardleigh Road and H Avenue is nearing completion.The signal is schedule to be tested and then activated on Aug. 27.
  • Tour of Utah passing through Hill; gate, traffic impacts

    For the second year in a row, the Tour of Utah professional bicycle race is scheduled to pass through Hill AFB approximately between 1:30-2:30 p.m. Aug. 9. There will be some impact to gates and traffic on base while the cyclists ride a circular route through the installation. Motorists should be aware that local area traffic off the installation will also be impacted as the race transits through communities surrounding Hill AFB.
  • Two roadwork constructions projects are still underway at Hill

    The installation has two road constructions projects currently underway. The renovations will include excavation and replacement of asphalt along 6th Street, as well as two new traffic signals to an increasingly-busy Wardleigh Boulevard.
  • UTA offers special fares for Hill Air Show

    Organizers are encouraging those planning to attend the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air and Space Show June 23-24 to use public transportation. Admission to the show is free, but because of traffic and limited parking, organizers say UTA is the best way to get to and from the show.
