The Airmen's Ministry Council here received a visit from Chaplain (Maj.) Bill O'Sullivan and Tech. Sgt Lee Wells, Chaplain Corps Resource Board, September 22 and 23 at the Junior Enlisted Center.

The purpose of their visit was to videotape the success stories of the Airmen's Ministry Council, as well as interview Airmen, senior leaders and more.

The Airmen's Ministry Council is a group of volunteers who are committed to assisting the work of the Chaplain Corps personnel through the mission of "Advise, Care, Train".

By advising the chaplains of the needs of the Airmen, implementation of effective programs, caring for Airmen and providing a forum of faith to the base and community at large. They accomplish this by putting their faith into action through various programs.

The filming crew chose 14 bases across the Air Force to highlight the work done by the Airmen's Ministry Council and they came to Hill Air Force Base to highlight the three centers used by AMC which include the Junior Enlisted Center, the Flightline Ministry Center and the basement of the Chapel.

The information gained is going to be used to compile a DVD that provides examples of ministries across the Air Force that can be distributed to all chaplains.

"Sometimes the creative well runs dry and a resource such as this DVD is priceless in helping us create ministry programming for Airman that is relevant and impactful," said Chaplain (Capt.) David Haltom, 75th Air Base Wing.

Through the use of resources such as this DVD and communication with other Airmen's Ministry Council groups, it will help chaplains here and abroad with ideas, insight and structure as well as extending their ministries to more Airman and community members.
