  • A-10 continues operations after engineers assess battlefield repair

    An A-10 Warthog damaged in a deployed location was quickly returned to service after a remote engineering assessment while disbursed in response to COVID-19.  After a mission, maintenance crews needed to repair battle damage on an A-10 consisting of a bullet hole in the underbelly skin with an unknown exit point for the projectile.

  • Unit at Hill AFB sustains radars, bolsters nation’s homeland defense

    When F-22 Raptor fighter jets intercepted Russian fighters and bombers off the coast of Alaska during series of incidents last year, it was a network of radar systems sustained by a program office at Hill Air Force Base that prompted the jets to scramble in support of those missions. The highly-sophisticated, 40-year-old radar systems are sustained by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Aerospace Dominance Enabler Division at Hill AFB.

    This summer, 15 program managers from across the AFLCMC organization were competitively selected to enroll in an experimental Project Management Professional program. As part of their training, students have the opportunity to earn their PMP certification -- an industry credential for project managers.

  • Center awards major long range radar contract

    The contract award covers the engineering and manufacturing development of three production representative units, but allows the ability to exercise options for low-rate production, interim contractor support, and full rate production when appropriate.
