  • Mobile app supports new hire process

    A new mobile application feature aims to make the on-boarding process and first days of work easier for civilian new hires across the Air Force Materiel Command. The “Newcomers” feature on the AFMC instance of the Air Force Connect mobile application provides new employees with step-by-step pre-employment and on-boarding process information, checklists, installation maps, pay and benefits data, and more, making the first days of work easier for the newest members of the AFMC team.
  • AFMC virtual town hall updates command, focuses on readiness

    The theme of readiness wove throughout the Air Force Materiel Command Virtual Town Hall, Feb. 3. Resiliency, fitness, the AFMC We Need, Space Force and more among the topics of focus during the hour-long event. Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., AFMC commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Stan Cadell, AFMC senior enlisted advisor, fielded dozens of questions from across the command during the event which was livestreamed on the AFMC Facebook page.
  • AFMC launches new holistic resiliency effort

    The Air Force Materiel Command has launched a new initiative that aims to increase unit cohesion and connectedness by emphasizing a culture that holistically builds mental, physical, social and spiritual fitness across the enterprise. Driven by the Air Force Resilience Tactical Pause held in fall 2019, the AFMC Connect effort focuses on the importance relationships and communication in a resilient culture. Monthly training topics with tools and implementation guidance center on deliberate, leader-driven meaningful discussions.
  • AFMC beta-testing diagnostic fitness assessments

    The Air Force Materiel Command will offer diagnostic fitness assessments to Airmen starting Jan. 20. As the Air Force continues to review the overall current fitness assessment guidance for Airmen, the AFMC has elected to implement diagnostic testing as a potential part of the policy change.

  • Air Force releases request for proposals for new ICBM system

    The request is for the weapon system’s Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase and includes five production lot options to produce and deploy the weapon system.
  • Secretary, chief of staff initiate dialogue with commanders on a plan for new officer promotion categories

    The memo explains the proposed change and directs commanders to solicit and provide feedback from officers to major command commanders by July 31, with “a final recommendation due to the secretary and chief not later than 30 August 2019.”
  • US, UAE fly to build interoperability
