crosswalk safety

In an effort to improve pedestrian safety, flashing lights were added to the crosswalk at the intersection of D Street and 6th Street. Greg Hoffman, 75th Air Base Wing chief of safety, said the high volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic at the intersection made crossing precarious at peak driving times and the flashing lights do a great job of drawing attention to the crosswalk, providing a safer crossing environment for our Airmen.
