Casting new methods of production saves Air Force time, money
Members of the Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office, Propulsion Engineering, Renaissance Service, Inc., and maintenance engineers pose for a group photo with a prototype TF33 rear gearbox housing at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Aug. 25, 2022. The prototype was created using the original part as a guide to create new digital molds. With digital molds, a replacement part can be cast on demand in as little as 30-60 days.
