Casting new methods of production saves Air Force time, money

A prototype TF33 rear gearbox housing sits on a table at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Aug. 25, 2022. The prototype was manufactured in the same process as the original part, but the mold for its casting was additively manufactured, allowing parts to be created on demand.
