USCAAF judges visit Hill

Judges John Sparks and Scott Stucky of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (USCAAF), met with members of the Hill legal community Oct. 17 to discuss the appeals process and answer questions. The USCAAF is composed of five civilian judges who are nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed by the senate. The judges review military criminal cases and are the last stop of appeals before the U.S. Supreme Court. Stucky, a Harvard Law graduate and former active duty Air Force judge advocate, is chief judge and will finish his 15-year term in 2021. Sparks is a Naval Academy graduate who commissioned in the Marine Corps. He was nominated for the USCAAF in 2015.
