Earth Day
A member of the Paiute Tribe of Utah processes pine nuts during the 2015 Annual American Indian Meeting, co-hosted last August in Cedar City by Hill Air Force Base and the Paiute Tribe of Utah. The Air Force consults with 21 American Indian Tribes who claim cultural affiliation to lands managed by Hill AFB. The base and other military installations in Utah sponsor the annual meeting to allow tribal leadership to meet with military leadership face-to-face to discuss upcoming projects on military lands and to address any tribal concerns.
