Military working dog handlers go above and beyond

Senior Master Sgt. Douglas F. Clayton, 75th Security Forces Squadron, reads a U.S. Forest Service letter of recognition to 75th SFS Airmen at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Oct. 26, 2015. The Airmen, military working dog handlers, were training with the Forest Service in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest when an emergency medical call was received. To aid an injured person, they carried packs, a litter and other supplies more than two miles at elevations of 7,500 feet. Once at the scene, they coordinated a safe landing for an emergency helicopter and then carried the victim to the helicopter via an extremely narrow trail with steep drop-offs.
