Lima memorial
Hill’s 775th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight held a ceremony Jan. 7 at the Hill AFB Memorial Park to remember the fallen Airmen of Team Lima – Tech. Sgt. Timothy Weiner, Senior Airman Daniel Miller, and Senior Airmen Elizabeth Loncki. A few minutes before 9 p.m., members of Team Hill gathered at the Memorial Park where the chaplain spoke a few words and then the group stood in silence until Taps played. “Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends,” said the Chaplain. The three Airmen, all from Hill AFB, were killed investigating a vehicle-born explosive device near Al Mahmudiyah, Iraq, Jan. 7, 2007 when it detonated. (Air Force Photo by Micah Garbarino)
