Memorial etching

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Karyn Plante, sister to Tech. Sgt. Timothy R. Weiner, etches his name on the cover of a program during the Explosive Ordnance Disposal 38th Annual Memorial Service at the Kauffman EOD Training Complex April 21. Sergeant Weiner was one of three Airmen killed by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq, Jan. 7, 2007. The ceremony memorialized 14 names of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who have sacrificed their lives during EOD missions. Military working dog handlers go above and beyond

Senior Master Sgt. Douglas F. Clayton, 75th Security Forces Squadron, reads a U.S. Forest Service letter of recognition to 75th SFS Airmen at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Oct. 26, 2015. The Airmen, military working dog handlers, were training with the Forest Service in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest when an emergency medical call was received. To aid an injured person, they carried packs, a litter and other supplies more than two miles at elevations of 7,500 feet. Once at the scene, they coordinated a safe landing for an emergency helicopter and then carried the victim to the helicopter via an extremely narrow trail with steep drop-offs. Moulage victims add realism

Volunteers played the roles of moulage victims during the exercise. The victims were active at both scenarios, the F-16 Fighting Falcon crash site and the Roy Gate detonation and played an important role in providing realism, said Eric Faucher, 75th Air Base Wing program analyst.
