Due to DEERS system outages and latency there are a large number of base personnel with Common Access Cards (CAC) expiring in the coming month.

In order to relieve this backlog, Hill AFB’s Customer Support Section will extend its hours to 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. from Aug. 1-5.

The target audience during this time will be those with CACs that will expire within 30-45 days and new employees.

Customers can register for a same day appointment starting at 6 a.m. in the lobby of building 430.

Customer support will verify the expiration date of all CACs prior to scheduling appointments.

In the event all appointments become filled on a given day, individuals will be scheduled for an appointment the next day. As a reminder, two forms of identification are required to be issued a CAC.

The Customer Support Section’s normal business hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. will resume on Aug. 8

CACs can be renewed up to 90 days prior to the expiration date.

Appointments can be made up to three weeks in advance by visiting the RAPIDS website.
