2013 - A year of challenges and accomplishments

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --  Hill Air Force Base had a momentous year in 2013. Depot work for the F-35 arrived and the official announcement followed that the first operational F-35 would be stationed at Hill paving the way for others to follow.

Despite a government shutdown and civilian furloughs Hill continued its mission. A warfighter safely landed an F-16 with a major mechanical problem and hundreds more returned from deployments where they were answering their nation's call.
