AFSC leadership model shared with Hill Airmen

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The base theater here had standing room only Jan. 24 as 75th Air Base Wing military and civilian Airmen learned about the specific leadership characteristics in what is referred to as the "Air Force Sustainment Center Leadership Model."

Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, AFSC commander, led a two-hour session focused on how the model assists leaders in taking care of their people, accomplishing the mission and preparing for the future.

The general also led a two-day course on the leadership model for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex.

The success of any organization depends largely on the effectiveness of leadership at all levels and the AFSC leadership model presents a holistic approach to gaining effectiveness and efficiencies.

According to the general, it isn't about working harder, cutting corners or jeopardizing workplace safety; but about expanding your vision of what is truly possible and refusing to settle for marginal improvements.
