South Gate to close for UDOT construction project Published Aug. 24, 2015 75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Due to ongoing construction on State Route 193 by the Utah Department of Transportation, the South Gate at Hill Air Force Base will be closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Aug. 25-28. UDOT finalized the construction dates Friday. The closure will primarily impact the morning commute, however additional gates will be opened during peak morning hours to help alleviate traffic problems. The following is the gate schedule starting Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. · West Gate will be open 24 hours · West Gate visitor's center will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight, and re-open from 5 am. to 9 a.m. · Southwest Gate will be open from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. · East Gate will be open from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. · South Gate will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. · Roy Gate will be open 24 hours. Barring weather delays, the construction is scheduled to be completed Aug. 28 and the gates will return to their normal operating hours at 9 a.m. If there are any additional changes to the gate hours, the workforce will be notified via another base-wide email.
