HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Crowds attended the annual Wings and Wheels car show and Food for Life Day event at the Hill Aerospace Museum Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015. The events were hosted by the Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah and the Hill Aerospace Museum.

Among the highlights, an F-106 Delta Dart aircraft was pulled out of the museum's Lindquist Stewart Fighter Gallery. Car show entrants were given the opportunity to have their vehicle photographed in front of the sleek jet.

The museum also opened doors and cockpits of many of its aircraft, treating event-goers to uncommon access to a robust inventory of historical planes. Knowledgeable volunteers were on hand to provide information and answer questions.

Other entertainment included music, food and military demonstrations.

The Ogden Concert Band and the Saddle Strings Band provided live musical entertainment, while Deejay JC Hackett spun records and narrated events throughout the day.

The Air Force Association Northern Utah Chapter 235 held a chili cook-off and local food vendors fed hungry event goers.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Airmen from Hill were also present. They brought several tools and other equipment used in performing their jobs, and attendees were permitted to have a hands-on experience at the display.

While the day's activities were free, attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. Donations filled several 55-gallon barrels positioned throughout the event grounds.

Food donations will be used to replenish the Hill Air Force Base Airman's Attic food pantry. The pantry provides food items to active-duty military, retirees and off-base community support agencies.
