HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --
The 775th Civil Engineer Squadron's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight hosted a remembrance ceremony Jan. 7 at Memorial Park for the fallen members of Team Lima. Team Lima members Tech. Sgt. Timothy Weiner, Senior Airman Daniel Miller and Senior Airman Elizabeth Loncki died Jan. 7, 2007, while deployed to Iraq from the 775th CES at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. On that day while investigating a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device near Al Mahmudiyah, Iraq, the device detonated, killing the three Airmen and a U.S. Army Soldier, and injuring another Airman. The annual memorial was a reminder of how recent wars changed the way men and women of the U.S. Air Force do business, and how EOD personnel in particular face the threat of IEDs.
