Open Season for Health Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, Flex Spending Accounts Published Nov. 14, 2012 By Civilian Personnel Office HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 2012 Federal Benefits Open Season for Health Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts is Nov. 12 through Dec. 10. Hill AFB will hold a Health Fair with availability of health insurance carriers on Dec. 4, 5 and 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Warrior Fitness Center. Brochures and information on 2012 premiums will only be available at the Health Fair and at the Office of Personnel Management website at http://www.opm.gov/insure/, when finalized for publication. The selection of insurance options and coverage required, such as medical appointments, surgery and prescriptions are normally based on individual or family needs. Therefore, it is highly recommended that research be conducted before making a final determination on the selection of insurance options and coverage. Some of the other incentives available that vary across health care plans that may be a factor in your decision include chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, substance abuse rehabilitation, and mental health, family or individual counseling sessions. This open season will provide employees with the opportunity to: Enroll in a flexible spending account, Enroll in, change or cancel an existing enrollment in a dental or vision plan under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) Enroll in, change or cancel an existing enrollment in a health plan under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB). The Federal Insurance Program is administered by the Benefits and Entitlements Service Team (BEST), located at Randolph AFB, Texas. Employees may make open season enrollments, changes or cancellation from Nov. 12 through Dec. 10 through the Benefits and Entitlements Service Team (BEST) at Randolph AFB, Texas, by using either the Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS) web application via AFPC secure at https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/AFPCSecureNET20/PKI/MainMenu1.aspx or the Air Force Portal at https://www.my.af.mil.
