In an effort to improve transportation options for Hill Air Force Base workers and residents, Uber is now authorized to drop off and pick up passengers on base.

A rideshare agreement with Uber and Hill has been approved by base leadership and will officially begin Sept. 10. Only Uber drivers that have been vetted and credentialed to participate in the program will be allowed on base.

“Security Forces has been working diligently to make this transportation option available and we are pleased that it’s now in place,” said Tech. Sgt. Kyle Williamson, 75th SFS installation access section chief.

There will be 100% ID checks for all occupants in the Uber vehicle, and Trusted Traveler is not applicable to the rideshare program.

Authorized pickup and drop off locations will include base housing, 1200-series buildings, and the main common areas/facilities at the south side of base between Southgate Drive and F Avenue (BX/Commissary, The Landing, bowling alley, gyms, dorms).

The DoD does not endorse one rideshare company over another. No other rideshare platforms have met or pursued DoD requirements for base access at Hill AFB. This program will not include Uber Eats or any other Uber program.
