Team Hill firefighters with the 775th Civil Engineer Squadron worked a prescribed burn alongside crews from multiple Weber and Box Elder County agencies at the Ogden Bay Waterfowl Management Area, Utah, April 12, 2024. The burn addressed an 2,000-acre area of invasive phragmites weeds. Phragmites consume a lot of wetlands water and choke out nesting areas and native plants. Burning is the most thorough, quick, and least expensive method to remove the invasive plant and restore wildlife habitat.
