HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Beginning Feb. 14, customers will no longer be able to pick up refilled prescriptions at the Satellite Pharmacy located inside the Base Exchange.
Customers picking up prescription refills will be required to use either the Main Pharmacy at the Base Clinic or the ScriptCenter Kiosks at the Exchange. The Satellite Pharmacy will only be available to customers processing new prescriptions, from both on and off base providers.
“We are continually improving our processes in an effort to provide our customers a better experience,” said Staff Sgt. Stephanie Stoehr, the Pharmacy’s NCO in charge.
The change was made primarily due to size and space constraints at the Satellite Pharmacy. Stoehr said there is limited seating available and customers had a difficult time standing in the pick up line or while waiting for their prescriptions. In addition to the Main Clinic having a large waiting area with a ticketing system, there are also more handicap parking spots.
Those wanting to continue to pick up refills at the Base Exchange are welcome to use the ScriptCenter Kiosks, which have a one business day turn around for refills and are open anytime the Exchange is open. The Main Pharmacy will now process both refills and new prescriptions from both on and off base providers.
Customers with new prescriptions in hard copy form can drop them off at either pharmacy. Customers may manage electronic prescriptions using the Remote Pharmacy Check-In system called Q-Anywhere. When a provider writes a new prescription and sends it to the pharmacy, you can activate it by scanning the QR code or texting “Get in line” to 855-792-9010.
To manage a prescription using an automated phone system or to speak to a pharmacy technician, call 801-777-5463.
