Editor's Note: The “Team Hill Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Chris Shipman is a meteorological technician working in the 75th Operations Support Squadron. His job consists of providing weather support to pilots and base agencies, along with protecting base assets and personnel from hazardous weather. He is originally from Georgia and his hobbies include skiing and mountain biking.

Chris's experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:

"The weather requires monitoring 24/7. I am able to view the current airfield sensor data and forecast model data from home to determine any weather threats. Using software called JET (Joint Environmental Toolkit), I can disseminate weather watches, warnings, and advisories to customers via automated telephone calls or emails. I enjoy that every day seems to present a different challenge, whether it be strong winds, heavy snowfall, or lightning."

Chris, Team Hill thanks you for your service! We appreciate you!
