Editor's Note: The “Team Hill Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Stephanie Hern is a human resource specialist in the 75th Force Support Squadron. She oversees Hill's leave programs (the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program, Advanced Leave, Enforced Leave, Suspected Sick Leave Abuse), and the Fitness for Duty and Medical Separations program. Her hometown is Valdosta, Georgia, and her hobbies include cooking and spending time with loved ones.

Stephanie's experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:

"During this new unchartered waters of the COVID situation, I just adapted to the changes and remind myself to be very flexible.  I started with prioritizing what was most important and focused my energy in those areas. I streamlined the communication by creating a continuity book so that our team could have the same consistent answers for the base population.  I looked first at where I could be valuable from a unit perspective which was to assist in answering questions at the Commander Action Team and the Emergency Operations Center. I was able to work within our squadron to procure a government cell phone so that our team could rotate the EOC hotline for the employee relation COVID questions.  Once more of the team began teleworking, I turned the continuity binder into an electronic version so that our team could support the hotline while teleworking. I also took over transferring the government cellphone EOC hotline number during scheduled shifts to ensure the team had an equal part in supporting our base population during this crucial time."

Stephanie, Team Hill thanks you for your service! We appreciate you!
