Editor's Note: The “AFSC Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Staff Sgt. Parth Shah is the Communicable Disease NCOIC for the 75th Operational Medicine Readiness Squadron. His hometown is North Brunswick, New Jersey and his hobbies include woodworking, running and hiking.  Shah manages the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control programs for Hill AFB. In this section, job duties include controlling disease transmission through patient interviews, epidemiological investigations, patient education and community outreach programs.

Shah’s experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:

“It’s been a tough few weeks for the entire world as we navigate a new normal amid the COVID-19 pandemic. To help alleviate miscommunication, our team created an internal daily situational report which is provided to all of MDG healthcare workers. This report provides updated DoD and CDC guidance with an emphasis on Trusted Care to ensure patients are receiving the most up-to-date medical evaluation and recommendations. Through this forum, we also communicate internal protocol changes as our current situation changes on a daily basis.”

Sergeant Shah, Team Hill thanks you for your service! We appreciate you!
