I was recently asked what I’ve enjoyed the most during my career in the Air Force.  The answer was simple:  the outstanding men and women I’ve had the privilege of serving with.  I’m extremely thankful for the opportunities that our Air Force has afforded me, but I’m most grateful for the opportunity to work alongside amazing Airmen each and every day.

I offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the phenomenal work performed by devoted and dedicated Airmen across Team Hill.  I’m thankful for the sacrifices that each of you make to employ combat capability, enhance readiness, and improve our base.  You’re making a difference.

This Thanksgiving, I encourage you to take a little time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for.  For some of us, the holiday season can be stressful.  I encourage you to reach out to a teammate who might be alone or facing challenges and offer your assistance.  Finally, please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that the deployed installation Airmen and their families are making during this time of year.

I wish you all a safe, enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.  Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.  Please plan ahead and stay alert during travel.  Most of all, enjoy the time with family and friends and return safely, recharged and ready to go.

Thank you for your commitment to Team Hill, our Air Force, and our nation.  It’s an honor to serve with you.
