CAMP WILLIAMS, Utah -- Airmen and family members from Hill Air Force Base participated in a flag-placing detail May 26 in preparation for Memorial Day at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The detail was organized by the Air Force Sergeants Association, Chapter 1163, as a way to pay tribute to those who have served.

Some Airmen brought their children to participate in the detail, giving them the chance to understand the importance of service.

More than 5,000 flags were placed in honor of our nation's veterans.
