HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --
We often take a closer look at our money this time of year – what’s coming in, what’s going out and where? If you haven’t already, your Employee Assistance Program encourages you to. We all hope to have more money coming into our account than going out, so let EAP show you some things that can help you get there. EAP offers these tips:
– Make one and stick with it. Seeing exactly where you spend your money will help you make positive changes in the name of your financial goals.
– Is it an impulse buy? Do you really need it? Try the 48-hour rule on a larger purchase before deciding whether to buy; if you still feel you need or want to buy the item after waiting two days, go for it.
– Start with a manageable monthly savings and increase it over time.
-- Are you setting a good example of spending and saving for your kids? It is never too early to teach children about being responsible for money.
