Certified Nursing Assistant scholarships available for military spouses

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The Airman & Family Readiness Center has been awarded The Spouse Education Grant through the Air Force Aid Society to help military spouses become Certified Nursing Assistants.

The certification process takes place through the Davis Applied Technology College and offers a flexible schedule to accommodate students.

Students can choose to enroll in morning, day or evening courses varying from full time and part time class schedules.

The Spouse Employment Grant will cover all costs associated with the CNA program, to include class fees, registration, books and final test/certification.

According to the Davis Applied Technical College and Utah Department of Labor, CNAs will be in high demand until at least 2026 with an 11 percent growth rate across the United States.

Upon completion of the program, the Davis Applied Technical College will also offer employment placement assistance.

Scholarship applications are due by Feb. 20 and classes begin as early as March 5.
