Holiday wishes from 75th ABW commander Published Dec. 19, 2016 By Col. Jennifer Hammerstedt, 75th Air Base Wing commander As we get ready to celebrate the holidays and welcome in a new year, we wish you and your families a very happy holiday season. Whether you are spending time at home with family, traveling to see friends, or enjoying some time off to simply catch up, please be safe and have a wonderful holiday and a healthy, prosperous New Year!During this season, let’s also take time to remember our fellow Airmen who are deployed. You can make their holidays special by sending a card or e-mail, or by visiting with their families. For Airmen working shifts during the holidays, a visit from you thanking them for their service will make their day. This time of year is not easy for everyone so I ask that you please keep an eye on each other. Continue to be good Wingmen and watch out for those around you. Given the amount of time we spend together at work, we are the greatest sensors to those around us.Finally, please celebrate the holidays responsibly. Have a plan before you go out and use a designated driver if you’ll be partaking in holiday cheer. During recreational activities and around the house, I ask that you consider risks and manage them appropriately so you can return safely to work in the new year to continue carrying on our important missions here.As always, thank you for all you do to serve our great Air Force – your service matters and you are making a difference!
