**Please Read Before Booking Your Appointment**

1. Verify Eligibility: First, confirm you meet the official requirements listed below.
2. Request a Slot: Use the booking link to request an appointment time. 
3. Wait for Confirmation: Your appointment is NOT confirmed until you receive an approval email from our staff.

Official photos are provided for official government purposes only, as prescribed by Air Force Instructions. Before booking, please review the full qualification requirements below.

NOTICE: Are You Booking for the Right Reason?

Official portrait appointments are ONLY for members with a requirement specified by an Air Force Instruction (AFI). We DO NOT provide official portraits for:

• Microsoft teams, SharePoint, retirements, or email profile pictures
• Photos for unofficial use, including most biographies and unit directories
• General professional headshots

If you need a photo for any of these purposes, please attend one of our monthly Open Studio Portrait Sessions (details at the bottom of this page). No appointment is needed for these sessions. 

Who Qualifies for Official Portraits?
Official photo support is strictly limited to members who have a bona fide official requirement per AFI 35-109 (4.2.4.), AFI 36-2632, AFI 35-101, and AFI 36-2110. All appointment requests will be vetted to ensure they meet these requirements.

Supported requirements include:
• Wing-level and above Commanders/Directors, Vice Commanders/Deputy Directors, and Command Chiefs
• Squadron-level and above Commanders/Directors, Superintendents, and First Sergeants
• Group-level and above quarterly and annual award winners
• Special duty assignment applications (per AFI 36-2110)
• Other requirements specified by an AFI (e.g., SARC, OSI, Legal)

How to Schedule an Appointment
Before you submit a request, please verify your photo is for an official requirement. Requests for portraits for Teams, SharePoint, email and most bios will be denied. These photos can be acquired at our monthly Open Studio sessions.

Note: A photo appointment for an official biography is only authorized if you hold a qualifying leadership position. In this case, your justification will be your position title or other specific reason (e.g. chief's package).

To begin the scheduling process, please use the booking link on this page. You must use a .mil email address to book an appointment.

When you submit your request, you will be required to state the official need for your photo. Vague justifications cannot be approved. Please state the official requirement clearly and unit you are with. For example:

• First Sergeant, 4th Fighter Generation Squadron
• Group-level 3rd Quarter Award Winner, 75th Mission Support Group
• Required for Special Duty Application per AFI 36-2110

Please also type your unit name in the space provided under 'Organization Name'.

Note: Stating that a supervisor, director or commander requested the photo is not sufficient justification on its own. The request must be tied to a specific, qualifying requirement. This information is mandatory for our staff to verify your requests meets current eligibility.

IMPORTANT: Your appointment is a REQUEST until approved.
Submitting a time slot is not a confirmation. You will receive two emails: one when you submit your request, and a second when your request is approved or denied. Please do not show up for a time slot until you have received a confirmation email.

• Head and Shoulder Portraits: Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Full-Length Portraits: Wednesdays

If you have questions about whether your request qualifies for an official photo, or if you need to cancel an approved appointment, please call us at 801‑777‑7615. Missed appointments reduce availability for others who require official photos.

Passport & General Officer Photos

• Government Passport Photos: This service is available on a walk-in basis on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for official government-authorized travel. No appointment is necessary.
• General Officer Photos: General officers requiring a portrait should call 801-777-7615 to coordinate directly with our team for a specialized session.

Open Studio Portrait Sessions

Once a month, we hold an open studio session at the PA Photo Studio in Bldg. 1267 for military members and federal civilian employees who want a professional headshot for platforms like Microsoft teams, SharePoint, email accounts, or for use in bios or unit directories. This service is NOT for official portraits.

• Upcoming Dates: Upcoming sessions are announced in the weekly "Around the Hill" email distributed base wide. You can also call our studio to ask about the next date. 
• No Appointment Needed: Photos are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Tuesday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• (Closed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
• Closed: Mondays and Fridays

Other Photo Services (On-Location & Self-Help)

On-location photo support is available for commander/director awareness programs, coverage of unit/organizational missions and training, and some official ceremonies. All on-location photo services are priority-based and subject to photographer availability.

• Changes of command are limited to group- and wing-level only.
• We do not support group photos, retirements, socials, promotion parties, etc. or photos/graphics for the purpose of gifts/mementos.
• Self-help cameras are available for checkout upon request to support these and other functions, or when a photographer is otherwise unavailable.

Call 801-777-7615 to request a self-help camera check-out reservation.

For on-location photo and/or graphic design support, download the AF Form 833, complete all boxes, and digitally sign the form.
