Who Qualifies for Official Portraits?
Official photos are available for official purposes only and are strictly limited to the following:
- Wing-level and above Commanders, Vice Commanders, and Command Chiefs
- Squadron-level and above Commanders, Superintendents, and First Sergeants
- Wing-level and above quarterly and annual award winners
- Other portrait requirements as specified by AFI, such as special duty assignment applications (per AFMAN 36-2032) or other validated requirements by wing-level and above commanders
DoD has eliminated photos from all promotion packages for all branches.

Customer service parking is located on the east side of the building, and the photo studio entrance is also on the east side.
Operating Hours: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Closed daily from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
Closed: Mondays and Fridays
Schedule an Appointment
- Head and shoulder portraits: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Full-length portraits: Wednesdays
- Passport and ISOPREP photos: Available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for official government-authorized travel on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary). These services are no longer available on Mondays and Fridays. Hours may be extended for special circumstances, such as pending deployments.
When you call, Public Affairs assesses all appointment requests to ensure they meet current eligibility requirements. Supporting documentation may be required.
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to make it, call in advance to reschedule so the appointment can be made available to others. Missed appointments take away opportunities from others who need photos.

General Officer Photos
General officers who require official portraits should coordinate directly with Public Affairs for specialized sessions. These photos may require additional time for setup and execution.
