Chief Master Sgt. Vernon Jackson is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 75th Air Base Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He represents the nearly 2,500 personnel providing base support for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, three wings and more than 50 mission partner organizations. He advises the installation commander on the mission effectiveness, combat readiness, professional development, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of all assigned personnel as well as quality of life issues for the 27,000 total force warriors and family members that comprise Team Hill.
Chief Jackson is a native of Newark, New Jersey. He entered the Air Force in May 2002 and graduated from Shepard Air Force Base, Texas in August 2002 as an Operations Management Apprentice. His background includes numerous leadership roles at squadron, group, MAJCOM, Combatant Command, and coalition command levels. His assignments include bases in New Jersey, Korea, Germany, Hawaii, Virginia, and California. Chief Jackson has deployed on numerous occasions supporting various missions in both the Pacific and Middle East. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 628th Civil Engineer Squadron, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.
