Max Lillie

Max Lillie (born Maximilian Liljestrand in Stockholm, Sweden) was the principal owner and chief instructor of the Lillie Flying School at Cicero Field in Chicago, Illinois, in the early days of aviation. In 1912 and 1913 he trained many student pilots who would later become leading flyers and promoters of aviation. Among his many students were Katherine Stinson and Chance Vought.
