UTA Bus Service Begins

A bus enters the Hill Air Force Base West Gate April 14. Utah Transit Authority, or UTA, began a new bus service into the base, which runs Monday through Friday with two bus routes that originate from the Clearfield FrontRunner Station, running from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. There are eight on-base stops along Route 664, the West Gate bus, and 15 on-base stops along Route 665, the South Gate bus. Air Force leaders announced a resumption of all force management programs March 15 following a recently discussed strategic pause. Previously-announced force management boards will proceed as currently scheduled. The eligible populations for those boards will remain the same, with the exception of a small group of about 500 Airmen who will no longer be eligible for the current voluntary or involuntary programs. A public hearing and open house conducted by Utah Transit Authority is scheduled on Feb. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Clearfield Community Art Center, Multi-Purpose Room, 140 E. Center St., and an open house and information fair is scheduled on Feb. 20 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Hill AFB Base Theater.
