The AQM-34L Firebee on display at the museum was assigned to the 514th Test Squadron at Hill AFB, one of only two units in the entire Air Force to operate the Lockheed DC-130 Hercules director aircraft, and was test flown over the Utah Test and Training Range many times. In early 1996 the 514th and Hill Aerospace Museum worked together to transfer the Firebee to the museum. It was placed on display in the Missile Park in 1997.
