The Burgess-Wright Model F was the first airplane licensed for production in the United States. Impressed by Marblehead yacht designer/builder Starling Burgess's workmanship on his own aeroplanes, the Wright Brothers entered into an agreement to have him build their Model B. Over 100 Model Fs were built for military and commercial use.
