Each year on the third Saturday in September the museum stages an open house called "Food-For-Life Day," during which visitors can view our aircraft up close, even getting inside some of them! The suggested "admission price" is one item of non-perishable food (preferably canned), which goes to the Hill AFB Airmen's Attic food pantry.
The event also includes the "Wings and Wheels Car Show" and many other fun things to see and do. The Air Force Association holds its annual Chili Cook-Off on the front lawn. Music is provided by J.C. Hackett and His Rock 'n' Roll Racket, as well as the Ogden Concert Band. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, and other treats are sold from various food vendors.
The next Food-For-Life Day will be on Sept. 17, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Come on out and join the fun!!
