The primary mission of the Office of Small Business Programs is to increase participation of small businesses in Air Force procurement.
The Small Business Specialists offer individual counseling sessions to provide assistance in understanding procurement regulations and practices, determine the appropriate buying office for specific business products and services, provide advice on how to best pursue contracting opportunities and to provide pertinent information on present and future procurements.
The Small Business Office is also the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) Program Management Office for the Source Approval/Development Program. The office has the responsibility to develop sources on non-competitive items, sponsor contractor requests for source qualification on items and repair services and track the processing of source approval requests to ensure consistent, timely and complete evaluation.
OO-ALC/SB office personnel regularly publicize the small business program by participating in business fairs, sponsoring workshops and seminars and visiting contractor plants to become familiar with the capabilities of potential sources.
