(March 28, 2007, Logan, Utah), Terry J. Nielsen, accepts the traditional folded flag from Utah’s VFW State Commander during the interment service for his father Colonel Chase J. Nielsen.  Lt. Col Nielsen was one of the last remaining members of the famed “Doolittle Raiders”. The members of the “Doolittle Raiders” reached national acclaim in 1942 after launching the first successful aerial bombing raid on Tokyo, Japan in retaliation for the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in December of 1941.
