The number of incidents involving alcohol, controlled substances, and other irresponsible behavior is disturbing. I'm not sure why Airmen believe this is acceptable, but let me assure you America expects better and our standards will always remain high.

American Airmen represent something much bigger than themselves, which is why we must be held accountable when falling below the bar. In fact, 38 Airmen were subject to either a court-martial or Article 15 in the past six months due to their irresponsible choices. The message is clear...actions that bring discredit upon our great Air Force and violate the Core Values are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

If you're in a crowd that is a disaster waiting to happen, get out of it and help others do the same. If you're teetering on a choice knowing that one has significant risk of wrongdoing, ask yourself what your significant other would want...I'm sure that will help in doing the right thing. Lastly, keep in mind you are privileged to stand on the shoulders of giants that came before you...stand tall!
