Uniformed and civilian Airmen and Guardians from across Team Hill are invited to submit their innovative ideas to the 2023 Hill Air Force Base Spark Tank competition now through April 14.

Spark Tank is an Air Force program designed to encourage innovative solutions to operational problems within work centers.

Ideas can be submitted to the “The Hive” innovation office and should have the potential to make significant impacts on Air Force missions within a six-month to two-year time frame.

The Hive will work with innovators to ideate, refine, and coach their ideas to pitch to a panel of Spark Tank judges on May 25. Competition winners will be selected for funding.

“This event relies on the expertise of our subject matter experts—our workforce,” said 1st Lt. Connor Stevens, 75th Air Base Wing Innovation Office. “The aim is to pitch new technologies and processes that reject the status quo and change the way we do business.”

Submission requirements:
• Synopsis of the problem and/or “pain point”
• Potential solution statement to either: utilize technologies/tools in new ways and/or invent and prototype new technologies/tools
• An innovator with initiative, who is willing to lead and pitch the idea
• Allotted time to work with The Hive on the idea and pitch it to judges

“All submissions will be given consideration and alternate funding will be sought, if necessary,” Stevens said.

To submit an idea, scan the attached QR code or visit forms.osi.apps.mil/r/Dk961peW85 from your Common Access Card-enabled computer or device.
