HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The Hill Legal Office has compiled a list of resources to assist those preparing their 2023 tax returns.

Military OneSource
• Free “do-it-yourself” (DIY) tax preparation and filing software
• Free live consultation by phone or chat
• Limited to service members and family
• MilTax software is now available

IRS Free File
• Free DIY online tax preparation and filing options
• Commercial vendors partnering with the Internal Revenue Service
• Limited to those with annual gross income (AGI) at $79,000 or less
• Website is now open

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
• Free basic tax return preparation and filing (VITA sites for Davis and Morgan Counties)
• Sites in Davis and Morgan counties are limited to those with AGI at $75,000 or less
• Locate participating sites close to you at https://irs.treasury.gov/freetaxprep/
• The site at the Layton City Building has been certified for preparing military returns

Paid Professionals
• Certified public accountants, enrolled agents, attorneys, and many others
• Most tax return preparers provide outstanding and professional tax service
