Hill to reopen additional facilities, services

Hill Air Force Base is expanding daily operations by reopening more of its facilities and services starting Tuesday, May 26.

Bowling Center will open, with hours of Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Dine-in will be available at individual lanes and take-out food service is available.  Customers must wear face coverings when within less than six feet of non-family members.

Hubbard Memorial Golf Course will resume golf association, leagues, driving range and tournaments with some limitation. Contact the golf course for more details at 801-777-3272.  Customers must wear face coverings when within less than six feet of non-family members while indoors.

FamCamp will open for all eligible guests.  Reservations are required and may be made by calling 801-775-3250.  Maximum length of stay is 14-consecutive days except for those traveling on PCS orders.

Rod and Gun Club will open for members.  Hours will be Wednesday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Memberships may be purchased at Outdoor Recreation/Tickets & Travel.  Customers must wear face coverings when within less than six feet of non-family.

Carter Creek Camp will take reservations over the phone only through Outdoor Recreation/Tickets & Travel (801-777-9666) beginning June 1 for July Carter Creek Camp dates.

Base Library will offer a variety of virtual programs like the Summer Reading Program beginning June 1.  Also, curbside check-out will be available for library patrons who would like to checkout any books, movies, board/video games, etc.  The library’s virtual catalogue can be accessed at https://hillafb.goalexandria.com/search#.  Program updates are available on the library’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Gerrity-Memorial-Library-202457116432941/.  New library patrons are welcome to contact the library at 801-777-2533 to activate their library membership so they can check-out materials.  

Airmen & Family Readiness Center will open by appointment only.  All Transition Assistance Program and Newcomers classes will now take place in-seat with appropriate social distancing.

Base personnel should continue to adhere to guidance on social distancing, disinfection plans and face coverings, including no hand-shaking, frequent hand washing, cleaning of common-use items, and wearing masks when social distancing cannot be achieved.
