JASDF general tours F-35A at Kadena

Japan Air Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Koji Imaki, Air Defense Command, Defense and Operations Division chief, and other members of the JASDF received a up-close-look at a U.S. Air Force F-35-A Lightning II during a tour Jan. 12, 2018, at Kadena Air Base, Japan.

During the visit, senior officers, warfighters and F-35A experts discussed a range of topics related to integrating the new capabilities of the U.S. Air Force’s 5th generation aircraft into multilateral air operations.

Airmen and F-35s from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, are deployed to Kadena AB as part of a routine theater security package.
