Team Hill Spouse Immersion Tours Base tours open to Team Hill spouses
Spouses of military and civilian employees at Hill AFB are invited to a series of Spouse Immersion Tours. Tours are scheduled to occur twice per month and will include visits to organizations such as family advocacy, the library, fitness center.

Three federal civilian employees at Hill AFB joined the ranks of Air Force civil servants who graduated from Airman Leadership School. Sondria Linford, 533rd Commodities Maintenance Squadron, Kelvin Tifft, 526th Electronics Maintenance Squadron, and Heidi Wise, 309th Missile Maintenance Group, were among the recent class of unformed Airmen who graduated from ALS Sept. 14.

A Military Retiree Appreciation Day will be held Sept. 22 at Hill Air Force Base. Registration, which is free and open to retirees and their families from all branches of the Armed Forces, begins at 7:30 a.m. at The Landing, with the day’s events beginning at 8 a.m.

Hill AFB officially ended an era Friday at a Viper Out ceremony celebrating 38-years of the F-16 at the base. Current and former military members, pilots, maintainers, civic leaders and friends packed Hangar 37 to bid farewell to the plane dubbed the Viper, because of its appearance at take-off. The Viper will no longer routinely fill the northern Utah skies as Hill’s jets are assigned to other locations, primarily Holloman AFB, New Mexico, making room for the F-35A and keeping Hill at the cutting edge of flying technology.

The 2017 Combined Federal Campaign is off and running in the intermountain area. The CFC, which runs Oct. 2, 2017, through Jan. 12, 2018, is an annual workplace charity campaign. This year, Team Hill is kicking off the campaign at the Hill Aerospace Museum Sept. 28 at 11 a.m.

Default Air Force Logo Hill AFB aids fight against Uintah fire
Hill AFB Fire Department has made significant advances in their mutual aid agreements with community fire departments near the base. One mutual aid agreement was put to the test recently. Fire personnel and vehicles from the Hill AFB assisted local agencies in fighting a large brush and grass fire exacerbated by high winds in Weber Canyon Sept. 5; the fire threatened homes and structures near Uintah.

Default Air Force Logo Hispanic Heritage Month luncheon open to Team Hill
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The theme for this year's observance is “Shaping the Bright Future of America.”
